After you have purchased an SMS plan, you can use Insight to send automatic messages to delinquent member accounts. There are 3 different stages an account may be in to trigger the automatic messages:

  • Yellow account status (e.g. overdue as a result of 1 missed or declined payment)
  • Red account status (e.g. overdue as a result of 2 missed or declined payments)
  • Delinquent account status (e.g. overdue as a result of more than 2 missed or declined payments)

You can configure a different automatic message for each of these account statuses. To configure automatic SMS messages for delinquent accounts, follow the process below.

  1. Login to your Insight account, click the Home Icon, then click Settings

  2. Scroll down and click SMS Options

  3. In the Delinquent SMS Options section, select the checkbox next to the account status you want to send automatic messages for.

  4. In the Account Status Template box for the account status you selected, input a template message. This is the message that will be sent to members when their account enters the selected status.
    Pro-tip: you can use variables to personalize messages. Copy/paste variables exactly as they are listed below. Supported variables include:
    {FIRST_NAME} - The first name of the primary account holder.
    {LAST_NAME} - The last name of the primary account holder.
    {GYM_NAME} - The name of the gym the account belongs to.
    {GYM_PHONE} - The phone number of the gym the account belongs to.

  5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 for other account statuses as desired.

  6. When all your changes are complete, click save.

That's it! You have successfully configured automatic delinquent SMS messages. The message templates you created will be sent to accounts that enter the associated status.
