How To Change A Single Instance Calendar Event Or All Instances Of A Calendar Event

After you create a calendar event, Insight allows you to make changes to a single instance of the event (e.g. to change the time a class occurs just once) or all instances of the event (e.g. to change the time a class occurs permanently).

This article will explain the step-by-step process for both changing a single instance of a calendar event and all instances of a recurring calendar event.

Change The Detials Of A Single Instance Calendar Event Or All Instances Of A Calendar Event

This process explains how to:

  • Changethe details (including start time) of a single instance of a calendar event
  • Change the date of a single instance of a calendar event
  • Change the details (including start time) of all instances of a calendar event

To change the date of all instances of a calendar event, see the section below titled "Updating Schedules: Changing the date for multiple instances of a calendar event".

  1. Login to Insight and click the Calendar Icon on the left side of the screenclick_calendar.png

  2. Locate the instance of the event you want to change, in our example we will change the Friday April 2nd instance of "A Great Class". Note: If you want to change ONLY a single instance of an event, be sure to pick that specific instance. If you want to change all instances of an event, simply select the next instance that will occur.

  3. In the popup, click EDIT

  4. On the Edit Class page, make your changes to the event, and then click SAVE.

  5. To apply your changes to ONLY this instance of the event (e.g. the Friday April 2nd class in our case) click UPDATE THIS ONE in the popup. To apply your changes to ALL future instances of the event (e.g. every class going forward in our case) click UPDATE ALL.

That's it! Your changes will be saved to the calendar.

Updating Schedules: Changing the date for multiple instances of a calendar event

This process will allow you to make changes to the schedule of a recurring event. Follow this process if you want to add, remove, or change the dates, frequency, or number of occurances of an event.

  1. Login to Insight and click the Calendar Icon on the left side of the screenclick_calendar.png

  2. Locate the instance of the event you want to change, in our example we will use the Friday April 2nd instance of "A Great Class".

  3. In the popup, click EDIT

  4. Click the SCHEDULE tab

  5. Make your changes to the event's schedule, and then click SAVE.

That's it! The changes to your event's schedule will be saved to the calendar.
